Who Hires an Estate Attorney When Someone Dies?

It may be a misconception that, when one dies, the attorney who prepared the Will and/or Trust(s) is also the one who has been paid to manage the administration or probate process.

An estate attorney should be hired and can be appointed by the Court, if the Executors or Administrators have no preference. However, these parties have the authority to hire who they want with guidance by the court if Probate is invoked.

You can, however, during your planning, designate who you want to manage your Estate administration or Probate process. It is our hope that you will choose us. I want to be your Lawyer for Life.
